Team EVC have been working in consultation with all projects stakeholders including Redeye Constructions, Archadia, McCallum PFCA & Electrical Projects Australia Pty Limited, to name a few on one of the Newcastle & Hunter Region’s largest Private Healthcare Facility.
GPV HEALTHCARE HUB in Charlestown features four levels housing various healthcare providers, including pharmacies, imaging facilities, trial clinics, and private health centres.
EVC has meticulously designed the mechanical infrastructure, including a multilevel carpark ventilation system, staircase pressurisation and relief systems, and advanced comfort/critical air-conditioning systems. This system includes filtered outside air ventilation with induct PHI cell air purifiers to mitigate microbial activity in the intake and ensure purified air throughout the hub.
The clinical trial area is specifically tailored to maintain critical indoor conditions, supporting four isolation rooms, over 20 patient beds, consulting spaces, and offices. EVC has also provided design expertise for the medical gas system in the clinical trial tenancy, complemented by advanced ventilation systems integrated with alarms for medical gas storage rooms.
Furthermore, EVC has implemented a comprehensive 500 kW chilled water and hot water base build plant to serve a private health centre located on level 4.
